First Lift - £489

Those seasoned racers amongst you may wish to get in some extra training before the blues races, or perhaps you just want to be in resort a bit earlier to enjoy the empty slopes, either way, the ‘First Lift’ package is the perfect choice.

If you can’t wait until the 3rd December to get to the Alps, then our First Lift package is just for you! You’ll be flown out early, so that you have less time on the books and more time on the slopes. Soak up the party atmosphere of Val Thorens and perfect your parallel turns.

Those who buy the First Lift package will be flown out on the evening of Thursday 1st December from London Gatwick Airport, and will be flown back to the UK around lunchtime on Saturday 10th December. Transfers between the airport and Val Thorens are included.

All accommodation will be in the Temples du Soleil, and you will only be able to share with other First Lift participants.

Either 9 or 18 hours of race training are available for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, ready for the blues time trials on the Monday morning. These will cost £79 and £139 respectively, and are run by highly trained ESF instructors.

Please remember that you will be leaving university before the official end of term, so will need written permission from your senior tutor (Oxford students) or Director of Studies (Cambridge students) before you can come on Varsity Trip. This must be signed, scanned and emailed to firstlift@varsitytrip.com by the 4th November. Any received after this date will be subject to a fine of £30 if received by the 10th of November and an £80 fine if received between the 11th and 16th of November. If we do not receive this written permission by the 16th of November we are afraid you will not be allowed on Varsity Trip and will not be refunded. Varsity Trip accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred as a result of a decision taken by your college. If you require confirmation that you will be representing either Oxford or Cambridge in competitions on the trip this should not be a problem, please contact OUSSC or CUSSC respectively. The First Lift package includes all complimentary inclusions detailed in the main week package. Please note that you will be required to upgrade to full wintersports insurance before you are allowed to race.
