The idea is simple. Get as many people together as possible, line them up, and send them racing down a slope simultaneously to see who emerges victorious from the carnage that unfolds.

Sign up at Varsity Trip Headquarters in the reception of the Temples du Soleil accommodation block by the end of Tuesday to take part in the most daring race on Varsity Trip. Then head to VarCity by 5pm Wednesday, before the lifts shut, and chill with a drink until the slopes are clear of non-racers. Then line up, we’ll shout ‘Go!’, and the rest is up to you… The best way to get up there is using the 2 Lacs chairlift. The best way to get down is to avoid collisions as much as possible.

The first participant to make it back to resort will receive an awesome prize, details of which will be released closer to the date of the trip. You'll need to sign a disclaimer when you put your name down, and you must wear a helmet (if you do not have one we can help find you one!).

Last year this event attracted well over 300 thrill-seekers - a record that we’d love to beat. So join in the fun in a race open to all abilities, but whatever you do don’t be the last one down the mountain!
